John Galloway
Mixed Clinical Director and Veterinary Surgeon
BVM&S MRCVSJohn joined us shortly after graduating from Edinburgh University in 1980, and joined the partnership eight years later. He is our main equine vet, and is heavily involved with the agricultural and small animal sides of the practice. In his spare time, he runs a beef farm, breeding pedigree Aberdeen Angus cattle. In the summer, he enjoys sailing, while in the winter he can often be found curling, snowboarding and skiing.

Susan Farr
Small Animal Clinical Director and Veterinary Surgeon
BVMS CertVOpthal MRCVSAfter graduating in 1989, Susan worked at practices in Cumbria and Musselburgh, before joining our team as a mixed vet in 1995. She now does primarily small animal work and has a particular interest in ophthalmology, having completed an RCVS postgraduate certificate in the area in 2007. She sees referral cases and has an operating microscope for performing delicate surgical procedures. In her spare time, she loves playing tennis and walking her Labradors.

Megan McNutt
Mixed Clinical Director and Veterinary Surgeon
BVMS MRCVSMegan graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2013, and spent a few years working down south before returning home to Scotland. She joined our team in 2017 and enjoys all species but does more of our small animal and equine work. Megan carries out our laparoscopic procedures and is interested in surgery and medicine.
She has a rescue cat and a dog who she loves spending time with, she enjoys socialising with family and friends, yoga, watching live music and snowboarding. -
Andrew Doull
Mixed Clinical Director and Veterinary Surgeon
BVMS MRCVSAndrew graduated in 2014, and initially joined our practice as a locum veterinary surgeon in 2020, before becoming a permanent team member and progressing to clinical director. He enjoys carrying out calvings and teaching newly qualified vets, and is a keen football player.

Mandi Baxter
Practice Manager
Mandi joined us in 2017 as a receptionist, and her busy role as practice manager involves managing the team, helping our farmers, organising rotas and more. Outside of work, she can often be found on her family farm, running or making lots of cakes for the practice!

Rachel Clark
Acting Practice Manager
Rachel joined the practice in 2013. Over the years has worked her way up to Assistant Practice Manager.
She is currently covering the Practice Manager role for the next year and looking after both our Greenock and Paisley practices.
When not at Abbey, Rachel is running her mobile Clinical Canine Massage business, walking her 2 bonkers Spaniels or catching up with friends and family.

Camilla McNutt
Mixed Veterinary Surgeon
BVMS MRCVSAfter graduating from Glasgow University in 2010, Camilla began her career in Nottinghamshire in a busy mixed practice, before joining us in 2016. Originally from Largs, she is pleased to be close to her family and friends. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, yoga, running, travelling and taking care of her cats, dog and horse.

BVMS MRCVSAimee joined us in 2023, a few years after graduating. She particularly enjoys medical cases, and loves spending her spare time adventuring with her dog, Nova.

Bailey Willson
Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon
BVMS MRCVSBailey graduated in 2023 and joined our team the following year. She studied at Washington State University and enjoys dentals, wound repair and canine behaviour. Bailey spends her free time indoor bouldering, hiking and walking her horse-sized dog.

BVMS MRCVSCaitlin has been with us since graduating in 2024, and having previously worked as an out of hours assistant for our on-call veterinary surgeons, she was already a familiar face to our team when she joined.

BVM&S MRCVSColleen joined us just after graduating in 2023, and really enjoys working with cows in all aspects of their care. She plays a staggering eight instruments and has a talent for crafting.

BVM&S MRCVSConnien graduated in 2020 and joined our practice two years later. She especially enjoys working with cows and cats, and has a passion for tennis, gardening, and trying her hand at learning new skills like pottery and woodworking.

Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon
BVMS MRCVSJulie joined us straight after graduating from Glasgow University, as she had already completed some of her training with us. As a mixed vet, she is involved in small animal, farm and equine work. She shares her home with her cat, Trio, and dog, Poppy, all of whom she adopted as strays.

BVM&S MRCVSMark joined our practice in 2022, and his main interests are cows, sheep and small animal surgeries. When he’s not working, he loves playing football, curling and training his dog.

BVM&S MRCVSSarah graduated in 2021 and joined our team two years later. Her clinical interests include mixed practice work, ultrasonography and emergency medicine. When she’s not working, she loves cooking a nice meal and heading out for runs with her dog, Buddy.

BVM&S MRCVSCalum graduated in 2021 from the University of Glasgow and joined the team in 2025 as a small animal vet. He is happy seeing most things that can fit through the practice doors.
In his spare time he likes to to run, swim, cook and scuba dive whenever possible

Amy Cameron

BVMS MSc MRCVSAmy joined us in summer 2025, having graduated from Glasgow vet school in 2017. She started her career in mixed practice in Perthshire and has since worked all over Scotland; being from Glasgow originally, she’s very happy to be back in her home city! She recently completed a masters in ‘One Health’, and has specific interests in Antimicrobial Resistance and stewardship and zoonotic disease. Outside of work, she plays hockey, and enjoys baking and spending time with her cat.

Amie McGarva
Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon
BVMS MRCVSAmie graduated from University of Glasgow in 2022 where she stayed for another year to complete an equine internship in medicine and surgery. Amie then moved to Perthshire to become a mixed small animal and equine vet before returning to Glasgow to join the team at Abbey Vets. Amie is interested in emergency and critical care and is keen to develop her soft tissue surgery skills.
In her spare time she likes to socialise with friends and family and keep active by exploring the Scottish outdoors with her corgi, Harris.

Andrew McHale
Head Veterinary Nurse
RVNAndrew joined Abbey in 2002 and worked his way through student nurse to qualified RVN in 2011 and eventually Head RVN! He has an interest in anaesthesia and medical nursing of inpatients. When he isn’t taking care of Paisley’s nursing and aca team, he’s running around after his two boys and dogs.

Aidan McGoldrick

RVNAidan joined Abbey Veterinary Group in September 2024, initially as a Locum Nurse, and he’s now proud to be the Head Veterinary Nurse at our Greenock branch. Aidan has worked in a variety of settings including out of hours and referral practice, which has given him a broad foundation and a real appreciation for all aspects of veterinary nursing.
As the Head Nurse, Aidan is passionate about teamwork, encouraging professional growth, and supporting his colleagues to confidently carry out their Schedule 3 procedures. He believes in creating an environment where nurses feel empowered, valued, and part of something meaningful.
At home, he has a lively Weimaraner, two cats, and a bearded dragon who all keep life interesting! Outside of work, he enjoys exploring new places and making memories on holidays with his husband.

RVNEmma joined Abbey in 2017 as a student veterinary nurse and qualified in 2019. She has an interest in anaesthesia and assisting vets in surgery. Emma enjoys time with her Labrador King, latte in hand.

Fiona Wilson
Senior Veterinary Nurse
RVNFiona joined Abbey in 2018 coming from a small animal only practice and graduating in 2015. Mixed practice has been quite the thrill and she enjoys the variety of patients she sees but does still enjoy exotics the most with rabbits being her favourite. Fiona also enjoys teaching and is a clinical coach to our student nurses. When Fiona isn’t in work, she is tending to her menagerie of pets from dog and cats to invertebrates like Mog her jumping spider.

RVNFiona joined Abbey in 2015 after qualifying as an RVN, she has an interest in nursing medical inpatients and large animal work, particularly horses. If Fiona isn’t out radiographing horses and donkeys, she can be found at her yard with her girls.

RVNBeth initially joined Abbey as a locum nurse and then took a longer term maternity cover position with the Paisley practice. Beth loved her team so much, she decided to take a permanent RVN role. She has an interest in feline behaviour and welfare. Outside of work Beth enjoys watercolours, time with Cathy (her cat) and raves!

RVNCaitlin joined Abbey in 2024, just a year after qualifying and immediately got stuck in. She enjoys a bit of everything and her favourite moment might just be when she adopted her sweet cat Angel through the practice. Where Caitlin goes, so does a cat and a good book.

RVNKatelyn graduated from Atlantic Technological University Letterkenny, Co.Donegal Ireland in 2023. She is from Co.Galway, Ireland where she worked in a mixed animal practice for 2 years with a focus on small animal care. She has a dog called Sadie who she rescued and has since become a beloved companion.

Sophie Pearson

RVNSophie qualified from Middlesex University as a Veterinary Nurse in 2025 and moved to Scotland shortly after graduating. She loves every aspect of nursing and is keen to develop her skills and find her area of interest. She has an elderly cat, Daisy, who is spending her retirement in England, but Sophie is never far from animals as she loves pet sitting for others!

RVNDarcy qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2024 and moved to Scotland from the south in 2025 when she joined Abbey. She has worked with small animals also really enjoys farm work. She has two cats Winston and Penny and two gerbils Louie and Calvin. She enjoys a trip to a nice coffee shop and a garden centre.

Emma joined Abbey in 2017 and completed her level 2 Diploma in Veterinary Care Assistants in 2023. Emma enjoys caring for our older patients, is always playing calming music in the cat wards and will be found fully in a kennel soothing a distressed patient. When she isn’t working, she enjoys crafts and woodland walks with her dog Willow.

Sarah joined Abbey in 2021 and has been accepted onto her nursing course to become an RVN! She enjoys lab work, for both inhouse and external lab samples. In her spare time she enjoys drawing, horror movies and entertaining her kitten Olive.

Kayleigh joined Abbey in 2022 after working in both veterinary and human hospitals prior. She is currently working on her ACA qualification, working towards her goal of RVN in the future. She enjoys inhouse lab work and interesting cases. When Kayleigh isn’t at work, she is chasing around her ‘feral’ toddler (her words!).

Linda joined Abbey in 2002 and many will remember her from the boarding kennel days. Linda enjoys catching up with long-term clients, remembers all her boarders and when she isn’t working, she devotes the rest of her time to her daughter and dogs

Lindsay joined Abbey in 2023 and hopes to someday become an RVN. She comes from a background in wildlife and enjoys the change of small animal work. Her favourite past experience with animals is working with baby seals in rehabilitation and release.

Grace joined us in 2025 whilst studying at SRUC Oatridge and has previous experience in an OOH setting. She enjoys live music, yoga and reading in her spare time. She shares her home with 2 lively Jack Russell’s, Sam and Mabel, and her two geckos called Ozzie and Onyx.

Rory graduated from college with an HND in Animal Care in 2023. During his course, he spent time furthering his skills by volunteering for a dog charity and a rabbit charity. Even after college, he has continued to spend his weekends volunteering his time to these great causes as this is something he is passionate about. He has no pets of his own but loves going to see the two family dogs, Shantei and Baxter, at his parents home.

Aileen went from client to staff in 2024 when she discovered an open position on our reception team. She enjoys catching up with clients and having good relationships with them. When she is away from front desk, she’s usually with her ponies and donkeys or baking the team some delicious sweet treats (with donations going to charity!).

Sandra has been with Abbey for over 50 years! She started out on reception, moving to accounts and now has worked solely as an out-of-hours receptionist for the last few years. Sandra has always been known as quite a force but is completely soft when it comes to staff dogs. Her drawer was always filled with the best treats!

Kirsty joined in 2024 and not long after, fell in love with a stray kitten who now has settled with her older cat. She enjoys customer interactions meeting all the pets. She spends her time with her niece and nephew and enjoys watching planes.

Mark joined the Abbey Greenock practice in 2025 after a long period of working from home. He wanted a more social setting and thought he would combine that with his love of animals. Mark enjoys fitness and has previously taken part in events like Tough Mudder and Rough Runner and he hopes to do more of these in the future.
